Equipment, instructors and a fossicking licence all included
Members get full access to the clubrooms, the club's equipment and tooling, and the support of rostered instructors at scheduled work sessions. Field trips are covered under the club's fossicking licence.
Rostered instructors
A metalsmithing instructor is on at several work sessions each week. Faceting and cabbing taught in scheduled courses when an instructor is available.
Equipped workshop
5 faceting machines, cabbing grinders (diamond + silicon carbide) and silversmithing hand tools for beginners.
Club fossicking licence
Field trips to Kilkivan, Windera and Ewingar Creek for gold, agate and smoky quartz. Members are covered under the club's licence on trips.
Common questions
About membership
New members pay a one-off joining fee plus an annual subscription. Members joining after 30 June pay 50% for the remainder of the year. Members joining 1 October to 31 December pay the full year, with cover through the following year.
Q. What's included in my membership?
Access to the clubrooms during work sessions, use of club equipment (faceting machines, cabbing grinders, silversmithing tools), instructor support where rostered, and cover under the club's fossicking licence on field trips. Workshop fees ($6) and materials purchased separately.
